Em atendimento a solicitação proposta pela Companhia Energética do Maranhão (Cemar), a Câmara de Vereadores de Governador Edison Lobão realizou sexta-feira (16) audiência pública no plenário “Freitas Filho” para discutir o débito do município de quase R$ 1 milhão junto à Cemar.
O vereador-presidente Joel Vieira de Brito destacou a importância da audiência pública, transmitida “ao vivo” pela rádio comunitária, que serviu para esclarecer à comunidade sobre a situação emblemática que prevê a suspensão no fornecimento de energia elétrica dos prédios públicos municipais de Governador Edison Lobão.
“A empresa concessionária suspendeu a energia do prédio da prefeitura, devendo iniciar nessa próxima semana o corte nas secretarias municipais até que o município quite a dívida negociada”, explicou o diretor executivo de relacionamento do sul do Maranhão da Cemar, Sandro Marcos Lemos.
Ele utilizou slides para mostrar “o histórico da dívida” que estava, em 2008, em R$ 338 mil, débito deixado pelo ex-prefeito Washington Plácido, negociado em 60 vezes de cinco mil reais por mês. “Em 2009, o débito saltou para R$ 634 mil reais, ultrapassando atualmente os R$ 725 mil reais, pois existem parcelamentos em abertos e que não foram cumpridos pelo gestor do município”, disse.
O executivo Sandro Lemos explicou à população, que lotou a galeria da Câmara de Vereadores, que a Prefeitura de Governador Edison Lobão deve somente desse ano R$ 273 mil, referente ao período de janeiro a agosto. “O prefeito esteve lá na Cemar, e propôs um novo acordo”, disse.
Em aparte, a vereadora Alanete Surubim questionou o procedimento adotado pelo prefeito Lourencio Morais que, quando a Cemar corta o fornecimento de energia elétrica dos prédios públicos, manda religá-los. “Somente a Cemar pode intervir na rede elétrica, pois quando o gestor autoreliga a rede comete crime de furto de energia elétrica, de acordo com o artigo 155”, explicou Sandro Lemos.
Ele afirma que medida judiciais foram adotadas pela Cemar, fato comunicado à Polícia Civil do Maranhão, que moverá um inquérito criminal contra o prefeito Lourencio Morais por furto de energia elétrica. A Cemar também comunicou o fato ao Ministério Público (MP).
