Prédios escolares, poços artesianos, postos de saúde, hospitais e secretarias municipais poderão ter o fornecimento de energia elétrica suspenso pela Companhia Energética do Maranhão (Cemar). O alerta consta da queixa-crime contra o prefeito Lourencio Silva de Moraes feito à Polícia Civil e ao Ministério Público do Maranhão (MP).
O vereador-presidente Joel Vieira de Brito, que recebeu cópia do processo, informou que a dívida do município chega a quase R$ 1 milhão junto à Cemar. “A direção comercial da Cemar solicitou espaço para explicar sobre a dívida da Prefeitura”, disse.
Ele contou que será repassada uma cópia do processo a cada vereador, pois constam cópias de cheques emitidos na ordem de R$ 20 e R$ 30 mil, resultado de uma negociação do município com a Cemar, mas que não foram cumpridos pela Prefeitura de Governador Edison Lobão. “Vamos realizar uma audiência pública na próxima sexta-feira (16) com os diretores da Cemar, promotores de Justiça e o prefeito Lourencio Moraes”, disse.
O vereador José Paulo de Moura (Zé Paulo do PT) ressaltou que é preciso observar os itens da Lei de Responsabilidade Fiscal (LRF) e solicitou que sejam convidados também os ex-prefeitos Ney Bandeira e Washington Plácido, pois entende que “essa dívida se arrasta ao longo dos últimos anos, mas que agora chegou a um patamar extremo”. “Queremos que sejam convidados os dois ex-prefeitos e o atual, Lourencio Moraes, para prestarem esclarecimentos ao povo sobre essa dívida gigantesca junto a Cemar”, propôs.
Já o vereador Fernando dos Santos Silva (Fernando do Enoque) usou a tribuna para relatar que o prefeito busca entendimentos para resolver esse débito, onde inclusive pretende enviar um Projeto de Lei para aumentar a taxa de iluminação pública cobrada em Governador Edison Lobão. “Temos vários problemas nessa área de iluminação pública, mas os recursos arrecadados são insuficientes”, contou.
O vice-presidente da Câmara de Vereadores de Governador Edison Lobão, Valdimar dos Santos, manifestou preocupação em relação ao problema que, se for cortado o fornecimento de energia elétrica, os poços artesianos não funcionarão e a comunidade ficará sem abastecimento de água potável. “Os débitos anteriores (ex-prefeitos) são mínimos como podemos ver lá na Cemar. A maior dívida é da atual gestão”, comparou.
Ele também observou outro fato ilegal é que, quando a Cemar corta o fornecimento de energia elétrica, a prefeitura acaba religando, cometendo crime de furto de energia elétrica, de acordo com a queima-crime da Cemar. “Nós queremos que o prefeito resolva esse problema, evitando um colapso em Governador Edison Lobão”, finalizou.
