A maioria dos crentes entende que o “livre-arbítrio” é a faculdade de escolhermos entre o Bem e o Mal. É uma visão convenientemente redutora, mas em muitas das vezes não é verdadeira. O livre-arbítrio é, segundo o Dicionário “o poder de escolher ou não escolher um ato ou uma atitude, quando não temos razão para nos inclinarmos mais para um lado do que para o outro.” Por outras palavras, é o poder de decidirmos o que nos der na real gana.
Se perguntarmos a um ateu e a um crente aonde é que vão passar férias no próximo ano, as respostas, diferentes e prováveis, serão: Ateu – “ainda não decidi”; “estou a hesitar entre as Seychelles e a Costa da Caparica”; “depende das «massas» ”. Crente – “Deus sabe se lá chegarei”; “sei lá, Deus é que sabe”; “olhe, vou para onde Deus quiser”. Ou seja: quem, verdadeiramente, tem o “livre-arbítrio” é o ateu, e não o crente. Porque o crente pensará, sempre, que a sua decisão dependerá, inevitavelmente, da vontade de Deus; enquanto o ateu estará, quando muito, dependente do dinheiro, da concordância da sogra, ou de outros percalços perfeitamente terrenos e, quase sempre resolúveis. Mas sempre com hipóteses alternativas, que o ateu pode escolher a seu bel-prazer.
De acordo com as crenças religiosas, Deus sabe tudo. Ou seja, também sabe aonde o crente vai passar as férias no próximo ano. O crente ainda não sabe, mas “Deus é que sabe”. Ou seja: o crente pode correr e saltar, que tudo o que fizer para passar as férias – pedir dinheiro emprestado, consultar mapas, escolher a roupa para levar – vai conduzi-lo, inevitavelmente… ao lugar que “Deus é que sabe”. Porque é para aí que vai, queira ou não, e por muito que pense que planeou sozinho. Ele apenas se limitou a cumprir os “desígnios de Deus”.
Diante dessa explanação, Tadeu Palácio, em sua opinião, ao deixar o PMDB e o governo Roseana por não ter sido o escolhido para disputar a Prefeitura de São Luís, agiu conforme um ateu ou um crente?
Ah!!! Dê sua opinião pautada no livre-arbítrio ou quem sabe pedir uma opinião mais aprofundada ao Malafaia!!!

Livre arbítrio, todos de alguma forma possuem mais são poucos os que sabem fazer uso desse recurso, pois para fazer uso dele as pessoas precisam de inteligência, e isto nem todos possuem.
No caso específico do Ex-Prefeito faltou-lhe um pouco de humildade para aceitar as coisas como elas são apresentadas, e só então, após uma profunda análise tomar uma decisão coerente com a natureza dos acontecimentos. Acreditar que seria ele o escolhido para ser o candidato do governo só por ter mudado de partido por puro oportunismo, e com um passado cheio de complicações com a lei é próprio de quem tem livre arbítrio mais falta inteligência e humildade para aceitar e lidar com os fatos, e acreditar que todas as pessoas são como aquelas que acreditam que é deus o responsável pelos seus atos desastrados.
Faço uso aqui do trecho de uma música de ELOMAR – O Violêro tão bem interpretado por XANGAI que muito nos ensino sobre tudo isso, diz: “…deus fez o homi e os bichos todo fôrro já vi iscrito num livro sagrado…”.
