A polícia Federal no Maranhão prendeu hoje, 02, um homem acusado por tráfico internacional de animais silvestres, no município de Araguanã/MA. A prisão deu-se em cumprimento a um mandado de prisão preventiva expedido pelo Juiz Federal titular da 4ª Vara Criminal da Seção Judiciária de Pernambuco, ao nacional J.J.da.S., natural de Surubim/PE, pela conduta delituosa de transportar espécimes da fauna silvestre ameaçadas de extinção, descrita no art. 29, § 1º, III e § 4º, I da Lei 9.605/98. J.J.da.S. foi conduzido sob custódia para esta Superintendência de Polícia Federal no MA e, será encaminhado posteriormente para interrogatório na Superintendência Regional de Polícia Federal em PE.

A Gerência de Proteção e Defesa do Consumidor (Procon/MA) multou a operadora de telefonia móvel TIM Celulares S/A em R$ 239.205,64 em julgamento de recurso administrativo apresentado pela empresa, ocorrido nesta terça-feira (2). O motivo são as constantes paralisações de seus serviços, ocasionando transtornos e prejuízos a usuários. A empresa infratora já foi notificada para efetuar o pagamento da sanção aplicada no prazo de 10 dias. O Procon-MA informou que o não recolhimento da multa no prazo de 30 dias acarretará na inscrição do débito em dívida ativa do Estado, para subseqüente cobrança executiva, além da possibilidade de inscrição da empresa no SPC/Serasa.
FAMEM: Primeira conferência pela educação quilombola será realizada em Itapecuru-Mirim
Pensando na educação básica voltada para as comunidades quilombolas do Maranhão, a Conferência Nacional de Educação (CONAE) e a Câmara de Educação Básica do CNE realizarão, nesta sexta-feira (5), conferências para a elaboração das Diretrizes Curriculares Nacionais para a Educação Escolar Quilombola. O evento conta com apoio da Federação dos Municípios do Estado do Maranhão (FAMEM). O Maranhão foi escolhido, juntamente com a Bahia e Distrito Federal, pelo seu grande contingente populacional quilombola. A primeira Audiência Pública será realizada em Itapecuru-Mirim, das 09 às 13h, no Itapecuru Social Clube. O público alvo esperado em cada conferência – em torno de 200 pessoas – é composto de representantes das comunidades quilombolas, gestoras, docentes, estudantes, movimentos sociais, ONGs, pesquisadores e todos aqueles que se interessam na construção de uma educação pública democrática, justa, com qualidade social, reconheça e respeite a diversidade racial. “É mais um espaço de debates que teremos para discutir a educação desta importante parcela da sociedade que são os quilombolas. Esperamos que, a partir deste momento, possamos efetivar ações de verdadeira eficácia para essa gente. O fato de o evento ser iniciado em Itapecuru é um grande marco, já que este é um dos municípios maranhenses que mais abriga quilombolas”, destacou Paulo Buzar, Coordenador de Comunicação da FAMEM.
