Baseando-se em argumentos que não condizem com a verdade da função de uma universidade, a UFMA tenta rebater a matéria exibida pelo Jornal da Globo, cujo teor da matéria mostrou de fato o caos da universidade e pior numa ciência do ramo do reitor Natalino Salgado.
Primeiramente, a matéria mostrou os fatos através dos signos x significados, por isso não quis de forma alguma formar qualquer caráter de difamação junto a comunidade acadêmica, ao Ministério da Educação e nem tampouco difamar o ensino superior público.
Em minha opinião, a Rede Globo se quisesse fazer uma matéria realmente contundente, teria apartado o reitor do porque só dispor de R$ 10 mil por ano para o curso de Farmácia. Ora bolas!!! Caso quisessem mesmo mostrar as verdades, a globo teria dito que o reitor não tem competência, pois já era para usar os laboratórios, através da autonomia, para produzir diagnósticos laboratoriais.
O reitor Natalino Salgado vem se ligando em algumas reformas de infraestrutura para elevar seu conceito, enquanto o sentido restrito da universidade está simplesmente longe da essência universitária, que é a indissociabilidade em ensino, pesquisa e extensão.
O reitor pode montar a mais moderna e fascinante biblioteca. Com milhões de exemplares dos mais diversos pensamentos, se não existir pesquisa de campo e a extensão. Apenas será uma biblioteca para fotos e filmagem.
Portanto, que a comunidade acadêmica e o corpo docente, assim como a população como um todo, a UFMA está muito longe de ser uma Universidade de referência de ensino universitário, como já venho dizendo em vários artigos publicados neste blog.
Não queiram tapar o sol com a peneira… Preferiria uma universidade simples, mas com autonomia, ensino, pesquisa e extensão funcionando de fato, pois sem isso não existe ensino superior algum.

O Salgado sempre foi insosso,usa e abusa da midia pra se promover e não tem argumentos convicentes de defesa quando é exposto. Falta ser desnudado o funcionamento do H.U.,como ponto de apoio dos seus colegas e espaço negado aos pacientes do SUS.
concordo plenamente com você e o pior de tudo é que o camarada é médico e existe a autonomia da universidade. isso só vem mostrar qeu ele não tem nenhum tipo de compremetimento pelo juramento que fez quando de sua formatura.
